The Geaca Lake
Geaca 1 is alimented by Fizesu Gherlii river and communicates with the other lakes by small canals. Fishing from a boat without engine is allowed, without disturbing the other fishermen. It is the biggest lake from the 7 lakes that are close to the town, with a surface of 37 hectars. The access by car is easy until the shore of the lake where you can also camp very well.
Access: Cluj-Napoca, Apahida, Caianu, Mociu, Camarasu. On the exit from Camarasu you can take it to the left on Dj 109 C and the first lake from the right is Catina lake, followed by Taul Popii lake and right after is Geaca I Lake.
It is allowded fishing without permit, the maximum quantity is 7 kilos. The tax is 30 RON/day and 30 RON/night.
