Beliş-Fântânele Lake
For the quick access of the tourists from outside the country, around Apuseni Mountains, there can be used international airports: Cluj Napoca, Timisoara, Oradea and from that point the access is made by car.
For the access by train there can be used the routes: from Bucharest- Cluj-Napoca- Huedin and from here you can take the bus to Rachitele- Padis or Belis- Fantanele- Albac or from Oradea- Sudurigiu or Deva- Brad- Sudurigiu and from here to Pietroasa- Padis.
The route access to Fantanele lake will be described for the 2 destinations: the Nordic, Belis with Fantanele and Southern – Giurcuta de Sus.
The area of Fantanele lake is siuated in western Cluj county, in Northern Apuseni mountains, on an altitude of about 1000 meters, in the confluence between Gilau Mountains situated on East, Vladeasa Mountains situated on West and the Big Mountain, situated on South.
In the North of this lake there is Botii hill, Balcesti and Belis, in Southern there is Ciurtici village and Poiana Horii village, in west there is Giurcuta de Sus and Smida and in East Marisel village.
In North-East of Fantanele Lake there is Vladeasa Mountain, that dominates with its pronounced top (1836 m) the whole region, South-Western Bihor Mountains (Curcubata top, 1849 m, the highest from Apuseni Mountains) .
The tax for fishing is 20 RON/day.
