Brasov and Bran Castle are among the favorite destinations for Bulgarian and Hungarian tourists for February 14, Valentine's Day.
Under the title "Dracula Kiss Valentine's Day," the newspaper "Standard" reports that one of the most interesting party invitations for 14 February is the Bran Castle. A one-day trip on the Bucharest-Brasov-Sinaia-Bran route costs only 20 euros, the newspaper informs. The offer includes a bus tour through Bucharest, visiting Bran and Peles, and a guided tour through downtown.
According to the National Institute of Statistics, Bulgarians occupy the second place in the European Union on visits to Romania. 17.1% of all foreigners who visited Romania in the first ten months of 2010 were Bulgarians, overcame only by the Hungarian tourists with, 38%
According to National Statistical Institute in Sofia, Romania is the third favorite Bulgarian tourist destination, after Turkey and Greece. In November 2010, Romania has been visited by 25,000 Bulgarians. Unlike the visits to Turkey and Greece, which have declined sharply in the recent months due to recession, visits to Romania have slightly increased in the past few months.
