Păltiniş
Paltinis is a tourist resort situated on a distance of 32 km on South-Western Sibiu, on an altitude of 1442 m in Cindrel Mountains.
This resort was founded by Carpathian Transylvanian Society, in the last decade of the 19th century.
The ski trail from Oncesti Mountain has a lift and a baby lift. Paltinis resort benefits of the longest ski-season, being situated on the highest altitude in the country. Paltinis was the first ski-resort in Romania.
Paltinis is a starting point for many routes in Cindrel Mountains and Lotru Mountains.
