Sulina

Sulina

Sulina is the only town in Delta, that has the function of a sea-port on the Black Sea Coast. It’s an old settlement, this being mentioned starting with the year 950 b.Ch. by Constantin Porfiogenetul, being called by then Selina. It is the town with the smallest medium altitude, only 4 meters above the sea level. The town lies along the Danube, with most of the habitat on the right side. The tourists can visit one of the most spectacular beaches in Europe, considered the last virgin beach of the continent. The beach has 150 meters width, the sand is extremely smooth, being filtred by Danube. There are few people around there and there is silence.

The main tourist attractions are:

-  The Greek Church St Nicolaus

-  The Maritime Cemetery

-  The Old Light

-  The Museum

-  The Palace of The Ex-European Comission of Danube

Sulina is the ideal place for those who want to enjoy the summer and the beautiful landscape, where they can have trips in Danube Delta, beach and sea.
