The Urgon Castle from Zau de Campie, Mures county, built between 1909 and 1911, having as model the French Medieval Castles, by the baron Ugron István, served as a Summer residence. The castle was built after the idea of a calendar, so that is has 365 windows, 4 towers, symbolizing the seasons, 52 rooms, representing the weeks in a year, 7 terraces, as in the days of the week and 12 halls, the months in a year. As a legend says, the baron built the castle to offer it as a gift, to one of the daughters of Nicolae the 2nd of Russia, of whom he was inlove. The baron tried to convince her to marry him, but although he was trying to make all of her wishes come true this one didn’t.

During communism the furniture of the castle was taken by the new power and transferred to Turda. Not even nowadays the authorities from Zau de Campie couldn’t bring it back to the castle.

Nowadays the castle belongs to The Mures County Council and shelters an orphanage.

The Castle and its domain is claimed by the successor of the baron Ugron, Ugron Maria.
