The Misici castle from Lipova, Arad county, is nowadays a Museum. The interior of the edifice is very elegant decorated, there is decorated floor made of wood, the mirrors, the paintings and the old objects look very well combined to the big candelabrums, with crystals, the terracotta, and the golden decorations from the wall.

The Misici Castle, nowadays the Museum of Lipova, was built in the 18th century. The edifice is also called Bocu House, because Sever Bocu, publisher and politician, was the owner of the castle between 1922 and 1953. Sever Bocu was a remarkable personality, because he had to do with the founding of the Western University, the Western Theatre, etc.

In the museum there is the arts collection Eleonora Costescu and Vasile Varga, constituted by the Romanian modern painting, the painting from the Italian school, Flamand, English, French and Hungarian. Here there are also exposed pieces of decorative art: silvery, porcelain, glass and furniture.

The museum has 8 halls from which it is remarked the Red Saloon, The Yellow Saloon, called like this because of their walls. In the Red Saloon there is a Rococo porcelain oven. In the museum there are also exponates belonging to the Primitive Age, the Middle Age. One of the 8 halls is dedicated to the events from the Pasoptist Revolution, and the last 3 halls are presented on the popular art from the area of Muresului Valley.
