Băile Olăneşti Spa
Baile Olanesti is a town situated in Valcea county, in its centre, also being called “The Golden Springs”, name taken from the mineral springs.
The mineral waters from Olanesti are first mentioned in a document from 1760 and they are called healing waters, being part of Toma Olanescu mansion, who buit the first bath chambers. It is the reason why the resort has this name.
Baile Olanesti has the most numerous springs from Romania, their debit and the variety of the composition and concentration of their mineral waters.
These are categorized in 3 types of mineral waters, being used as treatment for renal affections, digestion and metabolic affection, nutrition and external cure for different rheumatic affections and of the nervous system.
Compared to the international resort we can mention Vichy, Ems, Bourbole. What individualizes the tourist product of the resort is the the fact tgat some treatments for allergies are unique.. The climacteric conditions are favorable to the balneal activity during the entire year.
