Fărăgău Lake

Fărăgău

 

Situated in Transilvania Plain, in the hydrographic of Mures river, the lake was formed by the natural barring of Sar river, being the last natural lake from Transylvania Plain; it was rearanged between 1984 and 1987 and transformed from a lake to a pond.

-         total length: 750 m

-         total width: 350 m

-         maximum depth: 4,5 m

-         deposits stratum: 2-5 m

The vegetation of the lake is represented by the specific hygrophyte vegetation of the plain lakes, and there are bogs in some places of the lake because of its descending vegetation from the Ice Age.

-         fishing permission is not required

-         the surface of the lake is 35 hectars

-         there can be kept any quantity of fish

-         one can go fishing on any bank

-         it is not allowed fishing by boat

-         it is not allowed fishing by night

-         fishing tax: 30 RON (for 12 hours)

-         fish species: carp, crucian, perch, pike, roach, sheatfish.
