Danube Delta is the biggest reservation of wetlands from Europe, covering an area of 2.681 square kilometers. In 1990 UNESCO included the Danube Delta, the newest nature of the ground, between the reservations of the biosphere. You can find here over 1200 species of trees and plants, with the richest ornithological fauna from the continent (over 300 species, including unique colonies of pelicans) and ichthyological (represented by about 100 species, from which we name the Danube herring, sturgeon, from which there is obtained the caviar).

Mila 23
The village Mile 23 is a very beautiful typical fishing village, situated in the center of the Delta. The locals are very hospitable and have been living by the same rules for centuries.
The landscape is studded by rivers, canals, floating plants.

Murighiol
Murghiol is a village from Tulcea county; here there are the ruins of the Roman antique town, Halmyris, dating from the I-IV a. Chr, that used to be a sea-port-town on the St. George town, that had a defense wall, towers and gates, roman baths. Here there are also the ruins of a paleo-christian basilica, with crypt for the relics of the martyrs.
Nufăru
Nufaru Village is situated in N-E of Tulcea county. The climate is temperate continental, with hot summers. The winters are not very cold, but there are strong gales.

Sfântu-Gheorghe
The town lies on the left side of the oldest branch of Danube- St. George, close to the river mouth to the Black Sea.
The acces in town is possible only by ships. You can go with a ship from Tulcea sea-port, Mahmudia, or Murghiol Sea-port.
Somova
Somova village is situated in the central-nordic side of Tulcea county, 12 km away from Tulcea. The village has a varied relief, with meadows, hills and lakes. Sulina
Sulina is the only town in Delta, that has the function of a sea-port on the Black Sea Coast. It’s an old settlement, this being mentioned starting with the year 950 b.Ch. by Constantin Porfiogenetul, being called by then Selina. It is the town with the smallest medium altitude, only 4 meters above the sea level.
Tulcea
Tulcea is situated in Northern Dobrogea, on the right shore of Tulcea. It is the residency of the forth biggest county in the country.
The Civic Market is one of the tourist attraction of the town, being a large, beautiful marker, with marble, fountains, being a recreation place.
Turcoaia
Turcoaia town is situated in the Norhern-East Tulcea, on the right shore of Danube. The relief of Turcoaia is varied, with beautiful valleys, forests and hills, a relaxing and spectacular landscape, a lovely place for an unforgettable holiday.
In the area of the town there have been discovered the ruins of a roman settlement, that has become archeological reservation.
Uzlina
Uzlina is situated at only 38 km from Tulcea and 20 minutes away from Murghiol, from where the visitors have to continue their way by special boats: launches, motor boats, ships.
Because it is situated close to Murghiol, Uzlina becomes attractive from the touristic point of view, as well as healing.
