The Béldy-Mikes from Ozun

Béldy-Mikes castle is situated in Ozun and was built by Mikes family, on the area belonging to the noble Béldy Pál. Parts of the property are the castle, the garner, the bulkheads for the horses and the small guarding room on the entrance from the court. The castle is characterized by the verandas with small columns and arches that are made in relief in the centre of the main façade. The arches style, the structure from the rooms indicates the fact that it was built in the 18th century, in 1755.

The Bethlen Castle from Arcalia, Bistrita-Nasaud county, belongs to the Babeş-Bolyai University from Cluj-Napoca; nowadays here it is the “Regional Center of Francophone”. Arcalia is situated at about 15 km from Bistrita and the castle is situated in a park that has about 150 species, from our country and exotic species, for example the Silvery Christmas tree, the Caucasian Spruce or the Japanese locust tree. The castle was built by the Bethlen family around 1850. Its total surface is 16,5 hectares having as parts the park, having 16 hectares and 3 complexes. It has main alleys that delimitate the park, alleys and the labyrinth alley.

The Bethlen Castle from Bahnea was founded by Bethlen family that had been established here in 1441. The castle was built in the Renascent style, in 1545, by Bethlen Farkas, following that during the time to be built the Eastern and the Western wing and also the 8 sides bastion. The modifications and the new constructions made during the time give the castle a special allure, resulted from the combination of the architectonic styles: Renascent, Gothic, Romantic and Barock.

The Bethlen Castle from Sanmiclaus

The Bethlen Castle from Sanmiclaus is a representative construction for the late Renaissance from Transylvania. It was built between 1667 and 1683, by  Bethlen Miklós, being the place where his daughter married with the baron Kemény Zsigmond, in 1719. The castle has a quadrate shape, built on 2 levels. It forms one compact building, without interior court.

Castelul Bethlen-Haller din Cetatea de Baltă

Castelul Bethlen-Haller din Cetatea de Baltă este situat în partea de nord-est a localităţii, fiind menţionat documentar din secolul al XVII-lea. Între anii 1615-1624, a fost ridicat după modelul castelului Chambord din Franţa, de către principele Transilvaniei Gabriel Bethlen. Castelul de plan patrulater era prevăzut cu turnuri de colţ circulare, fără rol defensiv. Acesta a fost construit în stil gotic francez, fiind ridicat pe patru niveluri.

The Károlyi castle from Abrud, Satu Mare county, was built in 1630 by the Hungarian noble Károlyi Sándor in the place of a fortress. The polygonal fortress with corner bastions was built in 1418 by Bartolomeu Dragfi of Transylvania. Nowadays it’s left only one of the towers, rebuilt in 1896 in neogothic style.

The Bloomberg castle from Gardani, Maramures county, was built by the baron Blomberg. The count received a 500 hectares domain and 1500 hectares of forest from the emperor of the Habsburgic Empire, Iosif the 3rd. The construction of the castle started in 1780 and ended in 1821.

Castelul Bohuş din Şiria

The Bohus castle from Siria, Arad county, is formed by a single complex of buildings and has 30 rooms. The main side has a façade and a terrace having Dorian columns, being a building built in the neo-classic style, like the cognacs. Being built in the first half of the 19th century, it was the place where there were discussed the treatises about the capitulation of the Revolutionary Hungarian Army, on the 13th 1849. The treaties were discussed between the supreme commandant of the Hungarian Army, Görgey Artúr and the Russian general Frolov.

The Bornemissza Castle from Giurgiu

The Bornemissza castle from Giurgiu, Mures county, was built from the ruins of an old fortification situated on the hill that is close to the village. The main building was built in 1731 and was used as a haunting pavilion. Around the castle there is a dendrologic park, that is dating from 1730 and has 29 types of trees and 100 species of exotic plants, that contribute on the increasing of the number of visitors. The family members of Bornemissza leased the domain for 99 years in 1734, following to be built other principal buildings, offering to the castle a pleasant aspect.
