The pilot drank from TAROM, sentenced to three months in jail with suspension

 

John Cassidy, Tarom pilot who was caught drinking in the moment was preparing for boarding an Airbus 318 from Heathrow Airport, London,at  Bucharest, received Wednesday a sentence of three months in jail, suspended after the Court has made it known that if the novel will go to jail he is likely to lose his job.

Security officers have also realized that the pilot, aged 38 years, addicted to alcohol when he was preparing for boarding.

He called the police, who had him tested for alcohol consumption even in the cockpit before taking off to Bucharest with 30 passengers on board.The results indicated a blood alcohol test would be four times higher than the legal limit allowed of 0.2 per thousand and the pilot was arrested.

Tarom airline aims to reduce 10% of personnel by the end of this year, announced on Thursday the Executive President of the company, Christian Heinzmann.
