Busteni resort is situated in Prahova county on the foothills of Caraiman Mountains, on an altitude of 900 m. During winter there are arranged ski trails for beginners and advanced.

The winter season in Busteni lasts from December until April and is a very good location for those who love extreme skiing. During Summer, the resort is known as a leaving point on the mountain routes to Babele and to Sfinx.

The Kalinderu ski trail is situated in Busteni and, believe it or not, is the only one from the country that belongs to the guildhall, which makes it probably the best trails in Romania.

Busteni has a great trail that can make those who love skiing to fall inlove of the small town on the foothill of Caraiman. The name of the trail comes from Ioan Kalinderu (1840-1913) and administrated the Domain of the Regal Crown during Carol I. The Kalinderu trail was omologed by the international federation of skiing, organizing competitions.

Kalinderu trail has a machine for artificial snow, and special machines. There are planes that in the future to be installed a huge slide, parallel with Kalinderu trail, so that the affluence of tourists will be even better during Summer.
