Built by: The episcope Anastasue Crimca

Location: Mitocu Dragomirna, Suceava county

Summary: “Pogorarea Duhului Sfant” church  is unique in the whole country because of its proportions. It is by far the tallest and the most narrow church ever built. The walls are not painted, but they are decorated.

The small chapel from Dragomirna cemetery, was built in 1602 and is considered a miniature model of the monastery.

On the half of the facades, the church is surrounded by a gridle. The most spectacular element is the steeple. It is sculpted with floral and geometrical motives. In 1627, the prince Miron Barnovschi, relative of Movila family, who built Sucevita Monastery, started to build the strongest monarchic citadel froom Moldova. Until then, Dragomirna was vulnerable, a good place for thieves.
