The

Banfy castle from Borsa was built in the 19th century, having the eclectic style with neo-barrock and neo-classic elements; from 1957 it had became Mental Cronic disease Hospital and from 2003 has became part of the Cluj County Council Patrimony. Its shape is rectangular, having a rectangular tower on the South-Eastern corner, that goes up on the deck floor and on the first floor. The access is made by a neoclassic portico, bordered by 5 Doric columns, that sustain the terrace of the floor. From the portico there is the hall and the rooms from the deck-floor and there are stairs for the access on the first floor. The tower is taller then the 1st floor, the windows of the last level are narrow and have a curvature above them. On the deck floor there is also the original wooden furniture, decorated with Venetian mirrors.

The castle is situated on a vast domain from where there have been kept the main alleys, bordered by trees. Close to the castle there is a commemorative monument of Bánffy Dániel. The castle has been part of the Historic Monuments of Cluj, from 2004, but it is demanded by the Bánffy successor, who lives in Hungary, so that the castle can’t be restored because it is about to be retrocede.
